When designing a lighting implement i would probably not think hey lets make them look like RATS... i would more go, laser... dolphin even? But hey, i haven't been to the Ivy lately- so maybe rats are now the in thing?!

I dunno about you but i suck at keeping place in books AND not smashing bedside lights...
